Introduction

The rooting process is very straightforward.

I will impress upon you it is an advanced procedure and if you run into an issue you cannot solve, may void your warranty.

The actions you take during this process will wipe your phone.

If you update after root, you are likely to lose root and have to do part of this procedure again.

You need fastboot and ADB to to do this process, install for your OS.

Steps

Use mtkclient to make a Backup of your current system

*out* is the directory you want to dump your partitions in.

This will make a Backup of your data partition, so be aware it will take a long time and take up a lot of space. Better safe than sorry.

I would suggest against sharing these files.

Copy boot_a[.bin,.img] to your Mind One and run Magisk v30.6 apk on your phone.

Patch the boot_a[.bin,.img] with Magisk and copy back to your computer.

Boot into Android and enable Developer Options

In Developer options enable OEM Unlocking and ADB (debugging)

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flashing unlock (this will prompt you to press volume up during the 2 second window on the Mind One)

fastboot flash boot_a <Magisk-patched-boot.img>

Install Magisk and let it reboot your system
